AURORA, Colorado (KDVR) – Customers are waiting 14 hours for Double-Double at the new In-N-Out burger in Aurora, police said Friday afternoon.
“They will close before you most likely reach the window,” APD said via Twitter.
All In-N-Out burgers are open daily from 10:00 to 1:00 and until 1:30 on Fridays and Saturdays, according to a report from the burger chain.
Initially, the police calculated the waiting time to be 12 hours, but later increased it to 14 hours.
Aurora Restaurant is located near East Alameda Avenue and Interstate 225 in the city center at Aurora Mall.
Aurora officers are in the area and are helping to direct the flow of traffic.
Police are encouraging people to support local restaurants that do not have time to wait.
“Maybe today you can support another local restaurant and In-n-Out another day if the traffic is too fast for you,”
The Aurora In-N-Out is one of two that opened on Friday and the other in Colorado Springs. They are the first In-N-Outs in Colorado.
A number of other In-N-Out restaurants are planned around the Denver subway area, including Lone Tree, Lakewood and Thornton.
In-N-Out plans to open at least nine restaurants across the country.
