Portland, Oregon, police say 13 arrests were made Saturday for dueling demonstrations between far-right protesters and anti-fascist counter-protesters.
Police said they seized weapons, including shields, metal and wooden rods, knives, chemical sprays and a stunning participant gun, which included anti-fascists and members of the far-right "Proud Boys" organization, numbering about 1,200 at the peak of demonstrations , according to Reuters.
Saturday marks the latest clashes between left and right groups, the latter of which has largely entered the city from outside the country and promised to continue to return to town until Mayor Ted Wheeler (D) takes broader action to take control anti-fascist or antifa protesters, according to the Associated Press.

"I am grateful that this was largely a peaceful event," Wheeler told reporters at a news conference according to Reuters.
"The police have done exemplary work to de-escalate the situation, keep extremists on both sides for the most part, and prevent people who want to engage in acts of violence from colliding with each other. "
Portland Police Chief Daniel Izvanko said charges against those in the arrest would be made without interruption, interfering with police, resisting arrest and illegal use of weapons.
"Disturbances were conducted in a very small area in central Portland," she added.
