This weekend is WIRED25, our two-day live event featuring ideas, innovations and icons to help build a better future. If you are in the Bay Area, there is still time to visit us this weekend. Many of the people we spoke with in our November issue, such as Eva Halperin and Chris Evans, would be walking around town and coming to our offices in San Francisco.
But even if you live nowhere near the SF, you don't have to worry about it. Black Friday is approaching and many stores have already started selling. This weekend we looked at current sales on Amazon and Dell.
Note: When you buy something using retail links in our stories, we may earn a small affiliate commission. Read more about this.
Fall is the season of camera deals. Whether you want to move from your phone to still pocket shooting points or want to switch to full-frame DSLR, there are deals for you. Be sure to check out our guides for the best compact cameras, the best mirrorless cameras, and the best instant cameras.
Sony RX100 III for $ 598 ($ 150 discount): Sony updates the RX100 line so often that it's almost comical. This model is more than a year old, but still offers most of what you find in the latest RX100 IV at half price. You get a 1 "top-level sensor, a very nice pop-up electronic viewfinder, a Zeiss 24-70mm F1.8-2.8 lens and 1080 video (without 4K, alas) in a very compact package.
Panasonic Lumix ZS100 for $ 448 ($ 252 discount): Panasonic's compact Lumix ZS100 gives you more competition than ever before by offering a 10x optical zoom lens. The 1-inch camera sensor is on par with some of the best compact cameras, and features 4K video and a great touch screen interface. The newer model, the ZS200, also gives up $ 100. Fujifilm XT-3 Mirrorless Body Only $ 1,299 ($ 201 Discount): Fujifilm's flagship DSLR is on sale now. The XT-3 has a 26.1MP APS-C sensor and shoots 4K video at 60p. It is large and heavy but well built. Analog dials give it the feel and quick and easy functions of an older movie camera.
Nikon W300 Underwater Camera for $ 297 ($ 56 Discount): The Nikon Durable W300 is waterproof up to 30 meters, resistant to droplets of up to 8 feet and will usually tolerate beating and will not complain. It's not always easy to use underwater, but there's actually no camera. We like the extra features in this solid point and shoot, such as GPS tracking, altimeter, depth measurement and more.
