Someone in Butler County has been hospitalized for medical problems with vaping, according to just-released data from state health officials.
Ohio Department of Health officials listed 17 cases worldwide of persons whose vaping had led them to hospital admission.
Of these 17, one person identified only as being between the ages of 16 and 59 is enrolled in Butler County.
This is the first such case reported in the county.

Government officials have also announced that they are investigating 22 other cases of hospitalization of Ohioans for health complications from vaping.
Vaping has jumped in the spotlight recently as Michigan and New York banned vaping, citing increasing documentation of lung and other significant health users to inhale nicotine inhalers as they grow last years.
Locally, Butler County schools have upgraded their fights against student vaping and continue to ignite the nicotine devices delivered to their school campuses.
