Two forest fires in eastern Arizona have sparked evacuation orders for hundreds of people as they burned 60,000 acres on Sunday, CNN reported.
News drive: The fires burn in hot, dry conditions and much of the country experiences “extreme” or “extreme drought”.

Details: One of the fires, the Telegraph Fire, destroyed about 34,365 acres since its eruption on Friday, forcing the closure of a major highway near the Tonto National Forest, according to the InciWeb forest fire information system.

The other fire, the Mescal fire, burned nearly 26,000 acres in Mount Mescal, about 120 miles east of Phoenix, and was 2 percent on Sunday, according to InciWeb.
