The weekend kicked off BOOMing for state Ohio Bukkis, as on Friday afternoon they made a commitment from a four-star, 2021 wide successor, Jared Ballard. Massillon's native is an official Twitter employee.
Ballard is currently ranked as the 125th best prospect in the country, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. He is currently the fifth best player in Ohio and the 22nd nationwide 2021 class.
In addition to Buckeyes, Ballard also had offers from Notre Dame, Michigan, Penn, and others; although it has long been expected to engage with state power.
Ballard joins the Buckeyes class as Ryan Day's third class member for the following year, joining defender Kyle McCord and the defensive edge Jack Sawyer. WR's commitment only increases OSU's position at the top of the Big Ten ranking.
We will have more engagement with Ballard and the rest of the main recruitment weekend here for LGHL.
