The Iowa Department of Public Health announced 425 new cases of COVID-19 and one additional death on Monday. By 10 a.m., the health department had reported a total of 296,866 cases, a total of 256,149 recoveries and 4,139 deaths since the start of the pandemic. State data show that 1,396,431 people were tested for COVID-19, with a total of 3,253,975 tests applied. The 14-day Iowa Positivity Rate is 14.6%. This is less than 14.7% a day earlier. The state’s 7-day positive rate has dropped from 12% to 11.8%. Fifty-eight Iowa counties now report a positivity rate greater than 15%. The number of residents hospitalized with COVID-19 has increased slightly from 541 to 555 in the last 24 hours. In the last 24 hours, 74 patients were admitted, compared to 72 days earlier. There are 96 patients in the intensive care unit and 36 in ventilators. There are currently 86 long-term care facilities reporting COVID-19 outbreaks. That’s less than 90 days earlier. At 10 a.m., the health department reported a total of 296,866 positive cases, a total of 256,149 recoveries and a total of 4,139 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic. 24 hours earlier, the health department reported 295,441 cases and a total of 4,138 deaths.

Data from the state show that 1,396,431 residents were tested for COVID-19, with a total of 3,253,975 tests. The 14-day Iowa Positivity Rate is 14.6%. This is less than 14.7% a day earlier. The 7-day state positivity rate dropped from 12% to 11.8%. Fifty-eight Iowa counties now report a positivity rate above 15%.
