718 new cases of COVID-19 in Idaho, 1 new death



IDAHO PADA, Idaho (KIFI / KIDK) – Idaho officials reported 718 new cases of COVID-19 and 1 new death on Thursday.

This increases the total confirmed and probable cases reported since March to 50,610.

There are a total of 45,223 confirmed cases and 5,387 probable cases in all 44 of Idaho’s 44 counties, according to data from local neighborhoods and the state. See the table below.

Southeast Idaho Public Health has 102 new confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19 in Southeast Idaho. You can see more HERE.

The SIPH COVID-19 risk level monitor has four categories: minimum, moderate, high and critical. Oneida County is in the category of minimal risk. Banok, Bear Lake, Bingham and Caribou counties are in the moderate risk category. Butte, Franklin and Power County are in the high risk category.

The EIPH COVID-19 risk level monitor has four categories: minimum, moderate, high and critical. Madison is in the high-risk category. Bonneville, Custer, Fremont, Jefferson, Lemhi and Teton counties are in the moderate risk category.

Clark County is the only county in the minimum risk category.

EIPH covers Bonneville, Clark. Custer County, Fremont, Jefferson, Lemhy, Madison and Teton.

The hotspots so far this week are Hell County, Madison County, Bonneville County, Canyon County and Twin Falls County.

The state reports that there are 25,214 estimated recovered cases of COVID-19.

The average age of Idaho with COVID-19 is 38.80 years and ranges from 1 to 100 years. The data exclude 37 persons of unknown age.

The age group with the most cases is 18-29 with 14,554 cases.

The state said 15 new hospitalizations were reported, bringing the total to 2,137, and 2 new cases were admitted to the intensive care unit, resulting in a total of 494.

There are 3,718 asymptomatic cases registered and 3,302 cases among health professionals.

One new death was reported, resulting in a total of 517 deaths.

Civil servants say that mortality by age group is distributed as follows:

  • 1 person died between the ages of 18 and 29
  • 2 people died between the ages of 30 and 39
  • Eleven people died between the ages of 40 and 49
  • 18 people died between the ages of 50 and 59
  • 67 people were aged between 60 and 69 years
  • 135 people were aged between 70 and 79 years
  • 283 people were 80+

95.34% of deaths of a certain race are white. 0.58% of deaths of a known race are Asian. 0.78% of deaths of a known race are black or African American, 1.55% are Native Americans / Alaska Natives, and 1.75% are “Other Race / Multiple Races.” A racing category for 2 deaths is forthcoming.

87.79% of deaths of a certain race are non-Hispanic. 12.21% of deaths of some ethnicity are Hispanic. Ethnicity is pending for 1 death.
