The Chevrolet blue van, which was believed had traveled, was discovered at the scene of the event.
The couple just started a trip to Canada when they were killed, Dees' brother told the Charlotte observer. He said the couple's wagon might have broken down or overheated before they were killed. "Something happened this way, some conflict," he said.
Mark Jones, Assistant Commissioner in Australia, Fowler's father is an active member of the New South Wales police force.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police spokeswoman Janelle Shoihet declined to confirm how the couple was killed. At a press conference Friday, Shoihet said death is considered a murder.
The police have no suspects and said they did not know whether Dees and Fowler were targeting or if it was
Investigators ask anyone who was in the area of Liverpool Hot Springs between July 14 from 16:00 to 15 July in 8 am to contact the police.
Deese is from Charlotte, North Carolina. Her brother, British Dees, told the Charlotte observer that she and Fowler had been together since 2017 after a meeting at a hostel in Croatia. The British said Fowler had recently moved to Canada after finding a job on a livestock farm. "They met with trips and that's exactly what they did – they are traveling. He worked in Canada and planned a great trip there for three weeks. They would spend a week at the ranch and the second half of the trip to the national parks in Canada. "
The Fowler Family said in a statement on the New South Wales Police Web site that they were devastated by death.
"We lost our dear Lucas Fowler, son, brother, grandson, and friend in the most terrible circumstances." To lose someone so young and alive who was traveling the world and just enjoying life in full is devastating, "he said family. "To know her beautiful girlfriend, Chynna Deese of Charlotte, North Carolina also lost her life in this violent event is too cruel. and best wishes to go to Chynna's family and friends, "the statement said, adding that Fowlers are heading to Canada" to be with our boy and bring him home.
