RITZVILLE, WASHINGTON – Grant County Health District (GCHD) is urging participants in a major wedding near Ritzville last week to be quarantined after several people tested for COVID-19
The district says more than 300 people attended the wedding and due to the large number of people and the widespread impact of the event, they issued a signal to the public. Currently, 17 cases of COVID-19 are related to the wedding, and GCHD says they are being added daily.
Public gatherings at this time should not exceed 30 people – from midnight on Monday night, indoor receptions and similar gatherings will be banned.

“We are extremely grateful to those present who went for testing and stayed at home. This helps protect their friends, colleagues and communities from this disease, ”said District Administrator Theresa Adkinson.
In addition, the GCHD recommends that the organizers of these events keep a diary of those present to facilitate contact tracking efforts.
