A motorcyclist died in a head-on crash in Spartanburg district, soldiers say



A Southern State firefighter was killed Monday morning in a head-on crash, according to the chief of the Canebrake Fire Department. Isaiah Eugene Kapenman of Simpsonville died in a Brockman McClimon Road crash, according to a medical examiner. The military said the crash happened around 7:30 a.m. They said a Dodge pickup truck was heading south and a motorcycle was heading north. Kapenman was the driver of the motorcycle. Police said the motorcycle went out into the south lane and was hit by the truck, soldiers said. Kapenman died at the scene. Tyler Warfield, 23, was on his way to work at the Reedville Fire Department on Wednesday morning when he was killed in a collision with a motorcycle and a pickup truck. His funeral took place on Sunday.
