A motorcyclist died in a head-on crash with DUI, says CHP North Sac


A 61-year-old man died in a head-on crash in northern Sacramento on Wednesday night, the California Highway Patrol said. The other driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI. The motorcyclist was traveling east on Elverta Road east of 16th Street around 6:55 p.m., when a 27-year-old man from Citrus Heights in a white pickup truck crashed head-on into him, the CHP said. The CHP said the motorcyclist was thrown off his motorcycle and died at the scene. The man stayed and cooperated with police who were investigating. The pickup driver was later arrested on suspicion of DUI, the CHP said. It is not known how the two failed to escape.

A 61-year-old man died in a head-on crash in northern Sacramento on Wednesday night, the California Highway Patrol said. The other driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
