negotiations between the US and China to resolve their trade war will be held in Washington on Tuesday, and subsequent high-level meetings later this week, the White House said on Monday.
Negotiations follow a round of talks that ended last week in Beijing without a deal, but whose representatives said they had made progress on controversial issues between the two trading partners.
The talks are aimed at "achieving the necessary structural changes in China that affect trade between the US and China. The two sides will also discuss China's promise to buy a significant amount of goods and services from the United States," the White House said in a statement .
