A devoted dog spent days waiting in front of a hospital in Turkey, where its sick owner is being treated.
The pet, Boncuk, meaning bead, followed an ambulance that transported owner Jamal Senturk to a hospital in the Black Sea town of Trabzon on January 14th. She then made daily visits to the facility, the private news agency DHA reported.
Centurk’s daughter, Ainur Egeli, said she would take Bonchuk home, but the dog would run back to the hospital.
Hospital security guard Muhammad Akdeniz told the DHA: “She comes every day around 9 am and waits until nightfall. She does not enter.
“When the door opened, she stuck her head in.”
On Wednesday, Bonczak finally reunited with Centurk when he was pushed out in a wheelchair. “She is very used to me. I also miss her, all the time, “he told the DHA.
Senturk was discharged from the hospital on Wednesday and returned home with Bonchuk.
