AAF week 3 points, highlights, updates: Hotshots lose initial QB, turn to Trevor Knight

Week 3 of the AAF begins with Saturday's games with two of the Alliance's best teams.

First, Arizona Hotshots travel to Stallions in Salt Lake to get back their game from week 1 (16 points victory for Arizona). The foals will play at home for the first time, so it will be interesting to see if a dangerous 0-2 team can finally get this first win. Then later, Memphis Express travels to Orlando Apollo for what Vegas thinks might be a huge mismatch. The Westgate SuperBook line opened at -1

5.5 for Orlando. This is the largest initial spread to date. Apollos has covered both matches, and has hit Over in each. Is there more offensive fireworks at night in the store?

John Walford as the stallions move again Forward

Arizona is in battle with Salt Lake City, and potential losing defender John Walford does not help. Wolford's first pass from the third quarter was withdrawn and almost returned to touchdown (going back Branden Oliver later on), but more importantly, Wolford slowly slipped out of the field after shaking the pass and later off for the rest of the game with undetermined damage. Trevor Knight took the next series, but missed his first six passes.

Hotshots Aligned with the End of the Second Quarter

Although it was outperforming most of the first half, Arizona managed to tie things up with Salt Lake City 9-9, thanks to touchdown, catching by leading wide Rasad Ross . The former state of Arizona already has six catches in the game as the Hotshots have managed to withdraw from the scoring field. The fascinating and sometimes frustrating thing about Arizona is that they can legitimately play back because of the explosive nature of the crime. Players like Ross and Josh Haff always look great when they are most needed.

The Salt Lake Touchdown Again Puts Arizona in trouble

The Hotshots started a slow start in Memphis week 2 but managed to return for a 20-18 win. Well, Arizona is playing back from behind, but unlike Memphis, Salt Lake City is a more dangerous team – even if they are on day 0-2.

The foals have moved the bell very early, and the key difference is third downside conversions. Arizona was in a few thirds and long, while the foals were able to convert more manageable third reductions, including this breakthrough to Mornay Pearson-El.

Salt Lake State Crash Josh Woodrum missed grass trauma last week, which he suffered in a week's Hotshots loss.

Salt Lake QB Woodrum returned after a traumatic injury

Although he took part in Friday practice, he was still questioned as a Saturday game. But about 30 minutes before the start of Arizona, the foals noted in their Twitter account that they were back and ready to play. Austin Allen, a beginner from week 2, was designated a quarterback from the third string.
