Accenture, the global professional services company, has been working with major global firms, including Mastercard, to introduce a round-the-chain supply chain based on a blockade, according to a press release released on February 25th. Accenture now intends to use technology as a key component in stimulating the supply chain. The term circular supply chain encompasses all stages of the supply chain from beginning to end in order to eliminate waste and improve environmental sustainability.
As part of the announced initiative, Accenture is cooperating with major global companies, including cloud computing, Amazon Web Services, Everledger Block Supply Chain, Mercy Corps, and MasterCard Multinational Financial Services Corp.
Furthermore, the new capability is designed to provide better inventory and waste management, supply chain transparency and product authenticity.
