Actress Mila Kunis has revealed that she and her husband Ashton Kutcher began investing in bitcoins more than eight years ago. At first, she thought investing in bitcoin was a “terrible idea.” Now, however, she uses cryptocurrencies and said she has never been happier to make mistakes.
Mila Kunis is happy to be confused about bitcoins
Famous film and television actress Mila Kunis, who is married to actor Ashton Kutcher, talks about bitcoins on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Thursday.
She explained that before making an investment, Kutcher would manage them. “The best part about him is that he’s really smart to involve me in everything and make sure I’m aware of everything that’s going on,” Kunis said. She began dating Kutcher in 2012, and the couple married in July 2015. “He is also very smart, knowing that sometimes you don’t have to listen to your wife,” she said.
“Two things came up at the beginning of our meetings,” Kunis said. They were Uber and Bitcoin. After hearing him explain that Uber is “like a taxi company, but anyone can drive a taxi,” Kunis said, “This is the worst idea ever.” When he asked her to try the service, she panicked. “I was like, ‘Are you going to put me in a car with a stranger?’ What’s wrong? I was mad at him, “she recalled.
When he introduced her to the idea of bitcoin, Kunis said, “He sat me down and it was like, ‘Hey, honey, I need to explain this to you, tell me if I’m crazy.’ It’s like, “There’s this thing, it’s like making money. It’s called a cryptocurrency. And there’s this company. “” That’s eight or more years ago. “It’s called Bitcoin. “She continued:
I was like, “Well, I think that’s a terrible idea,” and he said, “Cool, we’re investing in that.” So he didn’t listen to me. I mean, it happens all the time.
The actress confirmed that she and Kutcher were involved in bitcoins more than eight years ago, admitting that she was initially concerned that bitcoin was not insured by the FDIC, although Kutcher tried to convince her of this.
She also said that Kutcher would talk about what seemed “so ridiculous” to her. For example, she said, “Why would I want to sleep on someone’s couch and pay for it?”
This is absurd and yet we are here. And I Airbnb everything, I Uber everywhere and I use cryptocurrencies. So guess what, I’ve never been happier to go wrong.
