Airbnb expands its rental opportunities today to include some of the most expensive and luxury hotels on the planet. The new layer, called Airbnb Luxe, is designed for customers who are interested in more than 1,000 dollars per night for well-designed, massive private homes with panoramic views and top-class amenities.
"Airbnb Luxe is built on the deep experience of Airbnb's luxury trips, acquired by the acquisition of Luxury Retreats in 2017. to meet standards in both design and functionality, "the company's blog says. Airbnb says homes should have "high design standards," including the inclusion of "premium materials and coatings, and rare and unique features." Homes will also have "cooker appliances" and plenty of bathrooms to suit every bedroom.
Of course, luxury rented apartments are a market that has existed for decades and is heated by the competition of traditional hotel companies such as Marriott and Four Seasons who want part of the short-term rental market. So, why spend this kind of money on Airbnb rent instead of just the nicest hotel you can find? Well, Airbnb thinks it can do better:
Each Airbnb Luxe reservation provides 24/7 access to a dedicated, well trained designer who will ensure that the stay is tailored to the unique needs of the passenger at every step From the road. This includes ensuring easy booking and accommodation, coordinating local experiences and activities, and organizing a wide range of services from childcare facilities, private chefs to in-house masseurs – or, for the dedicated, personal workouts in your own personal fitness
to a travel agency-style service is part of a shift that the company started in 2016, with the release of Airbnb Trips, allowing performers to register to offer everything from guides to Airbnb classes form. For Luxe, however, the company looks a few steps ahead and employs full-time personal assistants to design every aspect of the trip and take care of the luxurious feel. This could make the price tags in thousands to tens of thousands more delicious if you have this type of money. And it's worth highlighting. This is not for everyday users. Airbnb says there has been a 60% increase in rent reservations over $ 1,000 a night last year, but we do not know if it's a 60% increase of 100 bookings or 1000 or 10,000. It's not possible to say how much Bigger is this market for Airbnb, but do not be fooled – it's for the rich.
This is not bad for Airbnb's business, of course. They bought luxury discounts with a reason, and it is an intelligent game for the company to take advantage of the untapped market occupied predominantly by boutique travel agencies and service providers accessible only to wealthy people who know the right people. Now, with Airbnb Luxe, anyone (or any group of people) willing to pay the money can access a villa in Tuscany, a Costa Rican mansion or a hut in the Swiss Alps.
The good news is that with enough friends or family on board to split up costs may not be as expensive as it seems at first glance. You can not say the same about a hotel.
