The Bears’ best broad successor, Alan Robinson, is set to become a free agent in March. Bears may find it difficult to hold it.
Robinson’s social media activity after the ugly loss of the Packers Bears on Monday night included liking several tweets in which people told him he had to leave Chicago for teams that would make better use of his skills.
Robinson is in the final year of a three-year $ 42 million contract he signed with the Bears in 2018. He will be one of the best recipients of free agents available in 2021.
Robinson’s agent called on the Bears to throw the damn ball at him in the red zone.
The bears may be just weeks away from a major house cleaning, and it’s unclear who will even fire the shots in Chicago next year. But it seems fair to say that he wants to go somewhere with a better quarterback situation than Chicago currently has.
