Alexa’s “tell me when” command sets reminders for upcoming events

Amazon makes it easy to remember an event you don’t want to miss. On the edge reports that Amazon has quietly introduced Alexa’s “tell me when” prompt command, which not only answers your question about an event, but sets a reminder when that event occurs. If you ask Alexa to “tell me when the Super Bowl is”, your Echo or similar device will answer the question (February 7, 2021, for the protocol) and will warn you that day.

You can also use “tell me when”

; for things like TV show dates, holidays, or contact emails. This feature is currently only available to Alexa users in the United States.
