The new brand changed from "PillPack, an Amazon company" to "PillPack by Amazon Pharmacy."
PillPack has pharmacy licenses in all 50 states and fills customer prescriptions in pre-sorted single dose packs with all the pills they need. Packages include the date and time at which the pills are to be taken, a format that makes it easy for clients to take several medications a day.

But the e-commerce giant is exploring other avenues for expanding healthcare beyond the reported $ 753 million it paid for PillPack.
Amazon is a joint venture partner with Berkshire Hathaway ( BRKA ) and JPMorgan Chase ( JPM ] called Haven, which focuses on reducing health care costs and improving care.
In 2018, Amazon hired star cardiologist Maulik Majmudar as its chief medical officer and now offers a line of private labels, over-the-counter medicines and a range of medical supplies for doctors, dentists and hospitals. She is also working on developing employee health clinics, according to CNBC.
