Earlier today, Amazon charged Prime Members a monthly subscription fee of $ 14.99 for its Amazon Fresh online grocery delivery service. Two-hour bulk food supplies were free to many first-time customers through the Amazon Prime Now delivery app.
As of Tuesday, grocery delivery by Amazon Fresh is free for Prime members who have previously used the grocery delivery service.
Amazon Introduces New Free Stage Service: Major members who have not yet ordered groceries may request an invitation. Amazon has not said when it will start accepting new customers for grocery delivery.
The minimum shipping cost for the Amazon Fresh service is $ 50 in New York and $ 35 in most of the other 2,000 regions in which the service is available.
Minor changes also occur in Whole Foods shipments. Amazon announced Tuesday that customers will be able to buy Whole Foods food through Amazon.com and the Amazon app, in addition to the Prime Now app. But new customers will have to wait for an invitation if they want grocery delivered via the chain through the Amazon website and app. New customers can order some Prime Now products for a fee.
