Judge Amy Connie Barrett passed the second day of her Supreme Court confirmation hearing, and Trump 2020 advisory board member Harmit Dylan told The Evening Edit of Fox Business Network that her ability to stay cool, calm and collected was almost supernatural.
Democratic senators have repeatedly tried to catch Barrett unprepared for her position on the Affordable Care Act, but Dylan told host Elizabeth MacDonald that she didn’t think they even “caught her finger.”
“In fact, it’s almost as if she has a superpower, sitting there calmly and politely answering those questions,” she said. “I think she made each of them look stupid or worse.”
Dhillon said the hearings had so far been a “failure” and said Democrats should end it.

“Democrats would be better off not listening at all … and voting because I don’t think they’ve convinced anyone with this charade,” she said.
Democrats were quick to criticize Barrett for allegedly “avoiding” questions when the Ginsburg rule, named after Barrett’s future predecessor, prevented nominees from discussing their personal views on issues that might surface.

“The judge did exactly what the other judges did in the same place and what they should do,” Dylan said. “No judge can answer honestly how he would vote in a case of which he does not know the facts, nor would it be appropriate.”
“I hope that in the future, if Democrats are ever in the same position where they nominate judges, those judges will take the same position as Amy Connie Barrett, and indeed everyone has done so in the last 30 years,” she concluded.
