Felix Hernandez told what is almost certain to be his last game in the Mariners uniform and perhaps his last gamer ever, last night. Hernandez put on 15 seasons in the MLB, all with Seattle, where he made his 19-year-old debut in 2005. Felix has never had a single playoff appearance with the Mariners, but you just have to look at the outpouring of love he received last night to find out how little that meant after all.
When manager Scott Service came to the mound in the sixth inning to pull Felix out, he said, "You will always be the king of this city." Lele, jazz.
