Bills head coach Sean McDermott confirmed that the Bills had registered on the return of Le’Veon Bell, but Chiefs head coach Andy Reed did not do the same during his press conference on Thursday.
Bell was released by the Jets on Wednesday, and a report on Thursday named bosses, bills and dolphins as the three teams in the race to sign him. Reed said CEO Brett Weach was in charge of staffing decisions and informed Reed when there was something Reed needed to know.
“Veach does all this,” Reed said through Associated Press. “I tell him, ‘If anything happens, let me know,’ and so we roll.”
Clyde Edwards-Heller, first round, has 81 runs for 344 yards and 17 catches for 169 yards. Darrell Williams has 17 touches and Darwin Thompson has six shows, so there hasn’t been much action for extra defenders in Kansas City this season.
