CITY OF SALT LAKE – Utah reported 410 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, with one more death and 19,064 more vaccinations, according to the Utah Department of Health.
The constant average number of positive cases per day is 371, according to the health department. The positive test rate per day for this time period, calculated using the “people over people” method, is now 6.6%. The positive test rate per day for this time period, calculated using the “test over test” method, is now 3.5%.

The total data for Saturday gives a total of 397,733 confirmed cases with a total of 16,204 hospitalizations and 2,203 deaths from the disease since the beginning of the pandemic.
The death was reported Saturday by a Salt Lake County woman between the ages of 45-64, who was hospitalized when she died.
