Another Alabama assistant will join Steve Sargsyan in Texas.
Sargsyan is expected to hire Crimson Tide coach and special teams coordinator Jeff Banks, AL.com sources confirmed
The news was first reported by Inside Texas and The Athletic.
This is a remarkable loss for Tide. In addition to his work as a field coach, Banks ranked third in the national recruitment rankings for 247Sports for this recruitment cycle and was the main recruiter for three of the Alabama signatories from Texas. These include five-star runner Kamar Wheaton and four-star quarterback Jalen Milro.

This will be a return to Texas for the banks. Before being hired in Alabama in 2018, Banks spent five seasons at Texas A&M.
