Brown was acquired in a March deal to select a third and fifth round. After being a mainstay during the team's offseason program, Brown began camp on the non-football injury list due to freezing of the soles of his feet following a cryotherapy error in France in early July.
He left the camp for two weeks, seeking foot therapy that included laser procedures.
Brown was also upset that the league did not allow him to wear his Schutt Air Advantage helmet – the only helmet he has worn in his NFL career since he is over 10 years old, so he no longer certified. He lost two calls to use the old helmet and is now working on getting a league-approved one he likes.
