One of Apple's most iconic stores, the all-glass cube on Fifth Avenue, has been undergoing a renovation since 2017. Last week, Apple revealed a new cube look that made it shine with rainbow iridescence – and we sent our photographer Amelia to film it for you.
The new look is gorgeous but also not permanent. Apple told The Verge that the irritation was caused by a coating covering the glass that was "temporary", so see while you can. As of late, Apple is embracing the legacy of its classic rainbow logo, so we have to wonder if this new cube look can be unveiled on the scene of tomorrow's iPhone event. Maybe the store will reopen in tandem with the release of the next iPhones.
