Spectacular Labor John Prosher tweeted on Wednesday that Apple’s upcoming iPhone “iPhone 12” and slate from the new iPad will debut in October, a timeline seemingly backed by statements from Qualcomm CEO Akash Palhivala.
Prosser’s Twitter, which reads, “iPhone 12 […] New iPad […] October, “suggests that Apple plans to announce or release a new-generation headset and tablet slate a month later from its typical launch window in September. While new iPhones are widely expected this fall, Apple is also rumored. that prepares 10.8-inch iPad Air and refreshed iPad mini models for sale.
A similar timeline was revealed by Palhivala in an interview with ReutersThe executive on Wednesday mentioned a potential launch in October for the iPhone with 5G capabilities.
“We see a partial impact in terms of delaying the launch of the flagship phone,” Palhivala said. “So what we’ve seen is a slight delay that pushes out some of the units from the quarter in September to December in December.”
Qualcomm will supply baseband chipsets for the 5G iPhone as part of a modem licensing and settlement deal that ended the global legal battle with Apple. The devices powered by Qualcomm will be the first stream of technology giant Cupertino in the 5G arena.
Today’s murmur follows the predictions of the leaker “iHacktu Pro”, which last week said that Apple plans to hold its annual iPhone event in September. Along with the new iPhone and Apple Watch Series 6, the rumor carries rumors of a refreshed iPad and a resurrected wireless AirPower charger. Leaker also predicts that Apple will hold another gathering in October to announce its first Apple silicone Mac, the updated iPad Pro and Apple Glass.
