Apple's new battery cases have a button for quick access to a physical camera

Apple has just released its range of battery cases for the iPhone 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max. They look a lot like last year's cases (though obviously with a larger camera cutout) and come in the same black, white and pink colors. They also support wireless charging.

But the new trick for 2019 is the physical button that automatically opens the iPhone camera app when pressed – even if your phone is locked. If you rotate the phone horizontally for a photo, your right index finger should naturally rest exactly to the location of the cover button. His retention will start recording video using the new QuickTake feature available on this year's iPhones.

Apple's latest smart battery cases cost $ 129, no matter which iPhone model you have. The company says you can expect extra battery life of up to 50 percent. Both the iPhone 11 and 11 Pro already offer quite impressive longevity. But the battery case can be useful for long journeys or those situations where you know you will not be close to a charger for a day or two.

And at least now you get a little extra functionality with the case. , Double-clicking the power button on Android phones to get the camera started quickly has become second nature to many of us, so it's nice to see Apple trying to speed things up and improve the performance of iPhone owners as well.
