GREENSBORO, NK – An arrest was made in a fatal shooting in front of the court of Guilford County in Greensboro, Greensboro police said.
18-year-old Sterling Jason Tyler from High Point is accused of attempted first-degree murder, two deadly assault with intent to kill, assault with deadly weapon with intent to kill, causing serious injuries, dumping a weapon in an occupied moving vehicle means, firing a weapon in an occupied dwelling, two charges of malicious assault in secret, the crime of attempted first-degree murder, theft of a motor vehicle, possession of a stolen motor vehicle, the crime of conspiracy to commit theft of a motor vehicle vehicle and possession of stolen property.

Three men were injured in the shooting. One of those men identified as Avion Imeen McLean, 20, from Lorinburg, has died.
One victim is in critical condition and the third victim has life-threatening injuries.
“The investigation has revealed so far that many people exchanged shootings in the immediate vicinity of the entrance to the south street Eugene in the courthouse. A police officer witnessed the ongoing shooting and engaged an armed subject by dropping his weapon. Police are still under investigation to determine the sequence of events, “Greensboro police said in a news release.
Police say they want to hear anyone who knows something, anyone who may have been injured, or anyone who has been injured.
Greensboro Police Chief Brian James said the shooting appeared to have been directed, but they are working to confirm that.
