Crews from the city of Minneapolis, around 4:50 a.m. Tuesday, pulled items out of George Floyd Square in an attempt to reopen the intersection.
After the crews finished removing the items, they left the area.
Later on Tuesday, a crew of 5 WITNESS NEWS reported that activists had returned makeshift barriers to the streets near the intersection.
5 TESTIMONY NEWS turned to the city authorities and the Agape Movement, a group of communities contracted by the city, to help bridge the gap between the community, for comment.
Last Thursday, 5 WAITING NEWS was on the 38th in Chicago as crews and a community group removed concrete barriers blocking the square, but activists quickly moved in afterwards and blocked roads again with makeshift barriers.
