While the line of defense between Ryan and Machi’s family has expired, the bad blood has gone nowhere.
Complications continue to come for former “Teen Mom OG”
At Tuesday’s premiere of the season, Maci explained that the protection order she had against her ex “caused great tension between our families,” but noted that it expired during their production break. Until the order was no longer in force, its expiration did not lead to the sudden rise of their son Bentley, who saw his father.
Machi noted that neither Ryan nor his wife Mackenzie attended any Bentley games and that the lack of interest seemed to be a two-way street. “I couldn’t tell you the last time the words ‘I want to see my father’ came out of his mouth,” she said of their son.

She said that while Bentley still wanted to see his brother and sister from Ryan, he told his father’s parents that “he no longer wants to see his father unless he receives therapy.” According to Maci, this happened three months ago and there has been no progress from Ryan in this department.
Ryan, meanwhile, explained that although he could contact Maci directly now, he had no intention of ever doing so. He said that “since she made a defense order last time with about 30 lies,” he “didn’t feel the need to talk to her and bring some of that back into my life.”
His parents, Jen and Larry, seemed firmly on Ryan’s side as he said he would be happy to see his son “all the time,” but he thought Mackie “always had a crisis and I’m just tired of this. ” His father even hinted that Macy might be the one behind the therapy ultimatum – saying that “sometimes it’s pretty easy to convince kids and tilt their minds the way you want.”

The class ended with Macy sitting with Bentley on camera while she asked him if Ryan or any of his family had said anything about receiving therapy. “No,” he simply replied.
She also asked if she thought they “respected what you said”, to which he also replied “No”. He added that he hoped the therapy would help “fix things between us and see more of it”.
In the end, Macy decided to make an appointment with the intention of simply telling Ryan where and when to show up. Although Bentley signed the idea, viewers still do not know how Edwards will react.
