What should I use?
There are dozens, if not hundreds, of notes to choose from. All of them, not surprising, promise to make you a guru of organization and productivity. If you are trying to sift all of them, it is important to ask the following questions:
What hardware do I have?
First and foremost, remove any service that does not support your primary devices. For an argument, say, you own a Macbook Pro and an Android smartphone: You can immediately turn off any platform that does not support Google's mobile operating system, such as Bear and Ulysses. Why? Because it is extremely important to have access to your notes at any time and anywhere. A good, reliable mobile application means you can read some revision notes while sitting on the bus or waiting in a row for coffee. Also is a decent archive if you forget to load your laptop or tablet before class
What is my style of learning?
If you have not, do a "learning style" quiz. It will explain whether you master and process information best with visualizations (photos, charts, maps, etc.), audio (podcasts, audio books, class records), words (good old-fashioned reading and writing), or some physical, tactile presentation (viewing the globe, attaching a car by hand, etc.)
What do I study? What would be the best way to present and learn course materials? The degree of photography, for example, is likely to include some fruitful triggers such as Ansel Adams and Henri Cartier-Bresson. If you want to remember their life and techniques, it makes sense to build some notes that contain a mixture of textual and exemplary images.
What is my budget?
Do not spend what you can not afford. Set your budget (we also have a guide to managing your finances too) and reject everything that is above it. Be also cautious about "free" versions that block key features such as offline access and synchronization of different devices behind costly subscription plans. You do not want to feel limited by your classmate application.
It is not possible to select a "best" recording application. Instead, we made some suggestions that are tailored to specific users, devices, and learning styles.

The idea is an application for enrolling cult notes for good reason. This is an extremely powerful and versatile option that supports simple task lists, longer blog posts, and a whole host of other real-time collection tools such as Kanban project management plans, calendars, and Wiki-style databases.
