Michael Bury won millions by betting on mortgage-backed bonds before the 2008 home collapse. .
These days, he manages Scion Asset Management, a California-based hedge fund coupe that has $ 93.6 million in assets.
He did not stop alarming where he saw them. Most recently, Barry warned that passive investing was a "bubble".
His comments regarding the trend of hedge funds and index fund managers are accumulated in a small collection of large capital companies. Capital consolidation leaves smaller growth stocks desperate for cash, Bury said.
"The bubble in passive investing through ETFs and index funds, as well as the tendency for a very large size among asset managers, to orphan smaller securities of a global value," he told Bloomberg.
Burry does some active stock picking of its own, and recently told Barron that it lasted a long time in GameStop.
