As Ailish prepares to embark on a new chapter in her music career, she is aware that her latest photo will cause a stir.

“If you are positive about your body, why would you wear a corset?” she imagined the critics responding. “Why don’t you show me your real body? My thing is, I can do whatever I want.”

“It’s about what makes you feel good,” Ailish said. “If you want to have surgery, go for surgery. If you want to wear a dress that someone thinks you look too big, dressed, if you feel good, you look good.”
