As you may have seen, it was previously reported that the upcoming video game Biomutant from THQ Nordic will be released before the end of the publisher’s financial year. If this were true, it would mean that the long-running title will fall on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC before March 31 this year. However, this does not appear to be the case, as the update of the original report by an explanation from the publisher instead indicates that it will be released in the next financial year, which starts in April.
All of this stems from last year’s annual report on the release of the title this financial year, as well as a recent GamesIndustry.biz interview with THQ Nordic CEO Klemens Kreuzer. Kreuzer apparently initially claimed this Biomutant will release this quarter, which does not seem to be the case.
For the record: This article, mentioned earlier, Biomutant is due to be released in the first quarter of 2021. THQ Nordic turned around and clarified that the game is actually scheduled for the next fiscal year, which begins in April. https://t.co/43ETgXOhgC

The video game, if you’re unfamiliar, is described as “an open world, post-apocalyptic Kung-Fu fabulous RPG, with a unique combat system shaped into a combat system that allows you to mix melee, shooting and mutant action.” It was first announced in 2017 with several trailers and has been around ever since. Although originally expected to be released in 2018, it has been postponed several times.
Biomutant will be released at some point in 2021 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. You can check out all our previous coverage of the upcoming video game here.
