While we wait for news of a potential next-generation remaster and a computer version of Bloodborne, someone imagines another kind of remake of the action-adventure game. A developer turns the gothic Souls-like game from Software into something for the original PlayStation.
The demo comes with the kind assistance of developer Lilith Walter, who has been trying to make Bloodborne look like a 3D horror game since about 1997. So far, she has shared videos on Twitter of the project, looking at different aspects of Bloodborne and demonstrating the necessary changes to take something was avant-garde only a few years ago and make it suitable for technology that is almost three decades old.
This is another of a long range of demos that explore different games through different palettes, mechanics and genres. In addition to Yarntown, we had Game Boy’s Disco Elysium, Game Boy’s Deadly Premonition and NES ‘Super Smash Bros.
This thread designed for Bloodborne PSX starts with a boot and a suitable boot screen! Now, when we jump between the levels, I have to write a recording and loading system that transmits data around for proper navigation 🧵 pic.twitter.com/MHhMC1ouUE

Walter is working on a JRPG called Witch with Heartstrings Studios, due out in 2022, and you can find more information here. We are still hoping for this Bloodborne computer portal and these fan projects make the expectation easier.
