For the first time in over a decade a major change has been made to the CMA Awards host role – Carrie Underwood will return to host the 2019 CMA Awards, but longtime hosting partner Brad Paisley will not share the stage with her this November.
Underwood will instead work with two other legendary country women, Dolly Parton and Reba McIntyre, to honor iconic country music women all night long. And that looks just fine with Paisley.
Recognizing that this particular year is about the power of girls, Paisley noted, "As a fan of all 3 of these amazing women, I can't wait to watch" on Twitter. Although his moods seemed kind enough, it's hard to deny that he is likely to really enjoy the POV show this year. How could he not have such amazing talent on stage?

ABC CMA 2019 Awards at 8PM ET on November 13th. Underwood and Paisley first co-hosted the CMAs in 2008 and quickly won hearts with easy comedy chemistry. Their 11-year start falls second after Vince Gill's 12 years as the host of the program. McEntire hosts veterans of both the CMA and ACM Awards, and Parton also has hosting experience.
