The beer company Bud Light has announced its own next-generation gaming console, well, something, and it’s all for a good cause. The BL6, as it’s called, is a new “console” that the brewery says won’t “overheat or spew smoke … even if you vape near it.
Called the “coolest console ever,” the BL6 features a “powerful gaming computer” preloaded with various Bandai Namco fighting games such as Tekken 7 and SoulCalibur VI, along with RBI Baseball 20 and Broforce. It is also available with two specially designed controllers, which are named BL6.
The system is cooled by … beer or, as Bud Light puts it, “the only one of its kind, the first beer cooling system of its kind.” The console also comes with a 720p ASUS projector so you can play games wherever you are.
The BL6 will be difficult to obtain as it is only sold through an auction on ShopBeerGear.com, with very limited availability. The current high bid is now over $ 1800 USD. The bidding will last until November 20.
This is not a money laundering, as Bud Light donates all proceeds to the National Restaurant Association’s Educational Foundation’s “Change is on the Menu” campaign. This is intended to help support workers in restaurants affected by COVID.
Bud Light has also released a spec sheet that compares the BL6 to the “X” and “The Five”, and the graphics are pretty hilarious. See below.
