New superhero rookies will be able to experience Disneyland̵
The new area is a sequel to California Disney’s Adventure theme park in Anaheim, California and includes Marvel’s most powerful Earth characters and stars.
“What I can tell you is great,” Josh D’Amaro told CNBC before the webcast. “I think it will be an amazing addition to California Adventure. If you think about it [Marvel Cinematic Universe] and what’s happening on this front, recently as WandaVision, is hot. This is a hot franchise. And now we have the ability to open this thing to the world. “
The park was originally scheduled to open in July last year, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, California theme parks have been closed since March 2020.
The two Disney parks in Anaheim will reopen on April 30 and will operate at about 15% capacity to launch.
The new land has taken the place of Bug Land and includes the already existing Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission: Breakout ride at the end of Hollywood Land. It will also include a new Spider-Man attraction, a dining area called the Pym Particles Test Kitchen and an area based on Dr. Strange.
“We have the best playground for Marvel,” D’Amaro said. “As fast as Kevin [Feige] and that the Marvel team can create characters and create stories, we can integrate them. “
Disney was already annoyed that the trip with Spider-Man would be based on the World Engineering Brigade, also known as WEB, a company that helps ordinary people give superpowers. The attraction allows guests to test their vehicle for websites. As you drive the car, the little spider boots are released and you have to grab them with your new web-stretching abilities.
Meetings and greetings of heroes will be a large part of the Avengers campus. Thor, the Black Panther, the Black Widow and others will walk the earth – visitors can also see the cunning Loki.
D’Amaro irritates “over-entertainment” and technological innovation, including the potential for the company’s stunt technology to be demonstrated in the country. Stuntronics is a project that Disney pulled back the curtain again in 2018. In essence, the Disney Imagineering team and development lab have created a robot that can swing and fly through the air like a true stuntman.
In this case, the robot may look like Marvel’s friendly Spider-Man neighborhood.
“There will just be some spectacles,” D’Amaro said. “There will just be things you can’t believe are happening before your eyes.”
