Following her well-received performance in Jennifer Lopez's Predators, Cardy B seems to have already landed her next movie role, and that puts her in the middle of one of the biggest-grossing movie franchises.
Vin Diesel himself broke the big news by sharing a video on his Instagram featuring the rapper. While Diesel promised that the entire cast had poured everything in them, in "19459003]" Fast and Furious 9, " Cardi seemed absolutely exhausted behind his back.
Vin didn't look much more chipper on Day 86 than the sequel photos as they wrapped production in the UK.
"I'm tired, but I can't wait," echoed Cardy. "Not in the front. I think it will be the best." Although none of them explicitly says that she is in the movie, any indication in the video seems to confirm her involvement in some capacity (and we're not talking about music).
Carding's casting comes one day after the addition of Latin star Ozuna to the cast, with Variety announcing that he may be set to join the soundtrack of the movie, which will surely star.
Let's be real, though, do we really think you could keep Cardy spitting a verse or two in there?
Cardy and Ozuna join the Fast and Furious pillars Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyres Gibson, Chris Ludacris Bridges and Jordan Brewster, with Helen Myron and Charlize Theron back and forth for the ride.
John Cena has already been announced to join the movie, which means that Diesel and company appear to be introducing volunteers to their franchise in the next generation, as much as the Marvel Cinematic Universe is currently undergoing.
Like the MCU, the "FF" franchise shows no signs of slowing down. Every movie seems to be bigger than the previous one, betting more and more money, while the first spinoff, Hobbs & Shaw, proved that it has room to expand with a box office worth $ 750 million in the summer.
This is the second high-profile actor for Cardy who seems to be following in the footsteps of many other hip-hop stars and in film careers. For now, her role in the film remains undisclosed, but it would be great for her if it were rather than the role of a stripper. She was great in "Hustlers", but given that she was drawn from personal experience, it wasn't a big deal for her.
Fans will already be looking for her to show some coverage, though "Fast & Furious" movies aren't necessarily known for their acting and artistry. Still, Cardy has the opportunity to show what he can do in an action movie while continuing to inject feminine energy and diversity into the franchise's comprehensive talent list.
