Charles Leno Jr. joins the wounded attacking bears

The Bears’ offensive line has two players who have managed to stay on the field all season.

One of them is now an injury problem.

Left fights with Charles Leno Jr. and right guard Germain Ifedi are the only commanders to avoid injury or illness or both, and Leno has a toe injury caused by what Matt Nagy described as a “small incident”

; on Wednesday.

“Many times in practice boys can come down to earth,” Nagy said. “There was just a little incident when he came down to earth. We’re just working on it.”

Leno did not train on Thursday.

“He managed to finish (Wednesday), but woke up today and was a little sick,” Nagy said. “So we’re just watching about it. So he wasn’t there today. It’s also going to be day by day, in terms of where he’s physically. Again, if he can’t go, then it’s going to be the next deal for standard negotiation. ”

Jason Springs is the cradle. The Bears are also without starter Bobby Massi and have used Rashaad Quard in the position.

“What we’re trying to do is put the players we have in the best places we think, where they work together, they’re united in what their qualities are and how they work best together.” said Nagy. “It’s something we’re in right now. There are some moving parts. But I think we’re feeling pretty good with that right now.”

They did so from the win in week 5 over Tampa Bay, when left-back James Daniels came out with a chest muscle injury at the end of the season.

Now the question is who will actually be on the field. Once Sam Mustifer is available again, it is possible that they will determine that they are better with him in the center, and Cody Whitehair plays a left guard. Or they could keep Alex Bars on the left guard with Whitehair in the center.

Another injury can cause more concern and that is Akiem Hicks. He missed a second consecutive workout with a hamstring.

“I mean, he’s had this before and he’s back, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed,” Nagy said. “I do not know whether or not.

“Obviously I hope, I really hope he is. But again we have some guys right now who are in this position where there will be some decisions during the game that I won’t be able to get an answer from you now.”

Nagy won’t have to worry about Hicks missing training all week and then playing on Sunday.

“We just have to keep grinding in the rehab center and stay with him, and they have to make sure they stay in the game book and watch a lot of movies,” Nagy said.

The Packers also had some key injury issues on Thursday as broad receiver Davante Adams missed a training session with an ankle injury after training limitedly on Wednesday.

Adams is not their only early Packers successor. The tight end of Marces Luis missed with a knee injury on Thursday while wide receivers Equanimeous St. Brown (knee), the tight end of Robert Tonyan (ankle), the wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling (Achilles) and the wide receiver Allen Lazard (core) were limited.
