Chelsea Handler offered an explanation for publicly scolding her ex-boyfriend 50 Cent for supporting President Trump during her appearance on The Tonight Show on Friday night.
The comedian has been at loggerheads with 50 Cent-born Curtis James Jackson III since Monday, when he shared an image from a news broadcast on Instagram, which shows the rates at which certain seats will be taxed according to Joe Biden’s plan. The broadcast highlights the state of New York (58%) and New York (62%).
“WHAT THE F-K WAS!” (VOTE FOR TRUMP), Jackson wrote in the caption. “The F-K NEW YORK KNIKS never win anyway. I don’t care. Trump doesn̵
Handler called for a 62 percent tax increase “not a plan” for Joe Biden, calling it a “lie” during an interview with Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon.
50 CENTS DOUBLE THE OPPOSITION TO WORK FROM THE TAX PLAN: “I DON’T WANT TO BE 20 CENTS”
So he doesn’t want to pay 62 percent in taxes because he doesn’t want to go from “50 cents” to “20 cents,” and I had to remind him that he’s black, so he can’t vote for Donald Trump and that he it shouldn’t affect a whole portion of the people who can listen to it, because it’s worried about its own personal pocket book, “Handler said.
The remark seems to be reminiscent of Biden’s comment “You’re not black” during an interview with radio host Charlamagne Tha God, for which the Democrat was heavily criticized earlier this year.
Handler said she “didn’t get a response” from Fidi, but told Fallon she was ready to “sign the deal in more ways than one” to get her ex-boyfriend to publicly condemn Trump.
“I may be ready to go for another spin if you know what I’m talking about,” Handler added.
The two dated briefly in 2011, according to Us Weekly, and seemed friendly to each other long after their separation.
However, things seem to have gotten worse after 50 Cent made headlines with his support for Trump.
“You used to be my favorite ex-boyfriend,” Handler replied to his tweet on Tuesday.
“Oh my God, that reflects [sic] my love life now, “replied 50 Cent.” @chelseahandler I love you Gator, don’t let Trump and Joe Biden get in between us, girl. “

In response, Handler offered to pay the rapper’s taxes if he reconsidered his support for the president.
“Hey, kr! I’ll pay your taxes in return for you to come to your senses,” a frequent critic of Trump wrote on Wednesday. “Fortunately! Black lives matter. It’s you, f-ker! Remember?”
