If the news of 10-time All-Star defender Chris Paul coming to the valley wasn’t enough for Phoenix Suns fans, it just got even better.
About 24 hours after the trade became official, Paul and Suns star Devin Booker has already entered the job.
And where would it be better for the duo to host their first game as teammates than in the house of owner Robert Sarver?
But it’s not the first time Paul has played this hardwood on Tuesday night.
This is because the court is from the 2009 NBA All-Star Game, which was hosted in Phoenix at the then US Airways Center.
Paul was the starting guard for the star stars of the Western Conference 2008-09, which was only his second of ASG’s 10 career selections.
How old was Booker at the time? Only 12 years old …
Now Paul, 35, and Booker, 24, are working to try to reverse Phoenix’s fortune, which is plaguing the oldest professional franchise in the valley, which has not reached the playoffs since the 2009-10 season.
In fact, there hasn’t been as much optimism about the Suns since a decade ago, when Paul was as old as Booker.
