“You’re both wrong, congratulations.”
In case you haven’t heard, there’s a lot of drama with some celebrities and the Raya dating app this week. Go on and get your popcorn until I catch up with you.
A few days ago, author Nivine Jay posted a video from TikTok claiming that she coincided with Ben Affleck in the celebrity dating app Raya. However, she said she did not compare it because “she thinks it is fake”.
In the video, she shared what looked like a video message that Ben sent to her Instagram account. “Nivine, why did you compare me? It’s me,” he said in the video.
After Ben started getting some reaction online because he was sinister, Nivine spoke up.
According to E! News, she said: “I see a lot of comments calling him creepy, and I don’t think that’s fair. I didn’t make fun of him in the video. I laughed that I thought he was a catfish and it just had to be funny. “
Then today came more news about Paradise! In the now-deleted TikTok video, a Los Angeles-based personal assistant claims to have matched Raya’s Matthew Perry when she was 19.
The now 20-year-old told Page Six that she shared the video to raise awareness among older Hollywood men “who take advantage” of younger women in dating apps. “A lot of people said I was a bully and I had a grudge about publishing this, and it made me feel bad, but at the same time I feel like a lot of guys in Hollywood are talking to all these young girls, and that’s something I think that a lot of people need to be aware of, “she said.
Good! Now that you’re all caught up, here’s what Chrissy Teigen seems to have said about it all!
“I agree that celebrities shouldn’t make these scary desperate video responses on Raya,” she wrote on Twitter.
“But it’s sticky to send personal messages.”
“You’re both wrong, congratulations,” she concluded.
