Christopher Cross says Covid-19 has temporarily paralyzed him

According to Cross, both have tested positive since returning from a trip to Mexico City.

While the couple was ill for about three weeks, he said he felt well enough to shop for groceries in April, but when he returned home, his legs betrayed him.

Cross said doctors diagnosed him with Guillain-Barre syndrome, a rare neurological disorder in which the immune system attacks the nerves, which they say was caused by having Covid-19.

“Those were the worst 10 days of my life,” Cross said. “And I couldn’t walk, I could barely move. So, it was certainly the darkest time for me, you know? It was really a touch and hard and hard.”

The Grammy winner, known for hits including “Sailing”

; and “Ride Like The Wind”, said “I’m not a big celebrity, but it’s important for people to know that you can get this disease.”

“So I felt like it was my duty to share with people, ‘Look, this is a big deal. It’s like you have to wear your mask, “he said.” You have to take care of each other. Because, you know, that can happen to you. “

Cross said he continues to struggle for recovery and said both his speech and his memory have been affected and he has gone from having to use a wheelchair until now walking with a cane.
