So Cisco, Barry (played by Grant Justin), Caitlin (Daniel Panabaker) and Joe (Jesse L. Martin) came together for a farewell karaoke session, scattering the “Poker Face”
Lady Gaga’s karaoke tune, you may remember, was playing in STAR labs when Barry first came out of his coma after being blown up by a particle accelerator explosion. “He likes this song, ”Cisco suggested to Caitlin in the pilot series from October 2014, when Barry’s nine-month coma ended. (“How can you know that?” Caitlin asked. “I checked his Facebook page,” Cisco explained.) You can watch this pilot scene below.
The broadcast of the super musical feedback “serves the fans who really catch all those Easter eggs that capture all these details,” Valdes said. “Poker Face” was a pretty consistent wink at our show – although as with most recurring things, it wasn’t actually planned. It just happened.
Valdes – whose final, final the appearance will be in the finale of Season 7 – he told TVLine that he personally “loved” the choice of karaoke tune, given that it has “a full circle aspect. I mean, in the first scene where Cisco appears in general Flash series, you hear this song. So there is cyclical poetry about it. “
Yes, but is there an alternative to Valdes (whose stage credits include Broadway Once and the national tour of Jersey Boys), Martin (a Broadway veterinarian) and Justin (whose vocal talents were previously highlighted in the musical Super Girl crossover) sing “Poker Face” to the best of their ability, not by character?
“You know, anything is possible … Maybe like [DVD] a special property! ”jokes Valdes.
