Cristiano Ronaldo gives positive tests for coronavirus

According to the statement, Ronaldo is “well, without symptoms and in isolation.”

The 35-year-old Juventus striker played for Portugal against France in the League of Nations on Sunday and against Spain in a friendly last week.

Now Ronaldo will miss the next match of his league of nations against Sweden on Wednesday, as well as the upcoming matches of Juventus, which include a clash of Serie A with Crotone and a match of the Champions League group against Dynamo Kiev.

International vacation

Despite the growing number of Covid-19 cases around the world, many players have left their clubs to play international games.

However, some clubs have not released players to play for their countries, including Austria̵

On Monday, Ronaldo posted a photo on social media, in which he shared a dish with his teammates from Portugal.

The striker has scored three goals in the league in two games for Juventus so far this season – one against Sampdoria and a bracket against Roma.

He also scored twice after Portugal beat Sweden 2-0 in the League of Nations last month.

With his first goal against Sweden, Ronaldo became the second player to ever reach the cornerstone of 100 international goals. He is now eight goals behind the all-time record of 109 set by Iranian Ali Dayi.
Earlier this year, Ronaldo flew back to his native Madeira when coronavirus cases began to spread across Europe and football was halted, Reuters reported.

He then helped Juventus lift the Serie A title after the resumption of the league.
